If your home and living goals includes exploring a personalized living arrangement, Individualized Living Options (ILO) might be the perfect fit for you! At Embrace Quality Care, we specialize in working closely with you, your family, friends and support circle to create a living situation that meets your unique needs and desires.
Our supports are designed to be flexible, meaning you receive as much or as little assistance as you need, on your schedule. Whether you require daily support or just occasional help, we’re here to enhance your quality of life while respecting your choices and lifestyle.
What is ILO?
Individualized Living Options (ILO) provide personalized support to help you live independently in the home of your choice. Tailored to your unique needs, ILO considers your preferences, strengths, required supports, and the informal and community resources around you. If you’re eligible, ILO offers assistance to live in a home that suits your lifestyle – whether that’s on your own, with family, friends, or a supportive host.
Whether it’s accompanying you to appointments, shopping trips, or recreational activities, we’re here to support you in staying active and engaged with your community.
We’re here to help you connect with friends, family, and new social networks, ensuring you maintain fulfilling relationships and a vibrant social life.
Need help managing your finances? We offer guidance and support with budgeting, paying bills, and managing day-to-day financial tasks.
Key Features of ILO
Flexible Living Arrangements: Choose a living situation that best suits you, whether that’s solo living, cohabitating with friends or family, or living with a host family.
Personalized Support: Tailored supports are designed to align with your daily living needs, which may include help from both formal support providers and informal networks like friends and family.
Active Participation: The program encourages you to take an active role in shaping your home and living arrangements, empowering you to create the environment that works best for you.
NDIS Eligibility: ILO is available for NDIS participants aged 18 and over who require a minimum of six hours of daily support, whether formal or informal. You also need to be ready to explore home and living options and willing to invest time and effort into designing your future home life.
Supportive Network: While ILO is focused on your individual needs, having supportive family or friends can enhance the process and make it easier to create a sustainable living arrangement.
Important to Note:
Housing Costs: ILO focuses on funding the supports necessary for independent living but does not generally cover the cost of housing itself. You will need to secure housing separately, such as through private rentals, home ownership, or social housing. In very limited circumstances, the NDIS may contribute to housing costs, but this is rare.
